Philco Jr. Tube Type AM Radio. This is a really good candidate for restoration, it even has the original filter caps. Wood cabinet is solid with original finish. One spot on the right side will need touchup. The only missing veneer on the entire radio that is easy to see is on the rear side of the front panel at top. The center section of the front panel was stripped by the previous owner. Then masking tape was applied to the straight edges for some reason. It was so long ago that the dried up tape was falling off when I got it, just leaving the residue from the adhesive. There are no serious blemishes on it. The only missing veneer is a tiny sliver on the right edge of the center section almost at the bottom. Grille cloth is very good. It may be a replacement but was done so long ago that it looks a little aged. Dial and escutcheon are very good. The dark section of the front has no veneer chips but will probably need to be stripped. Original power cord is frayed and repaired with scotch tape. Chassis has light dust only, no rust. It still has the original copper filter cap. Radio started humming even as I was gradually increasing the supply voltage so I stopped around 60 V. Sold as-is for parts or restoration. Approximate size 12"W, 8"D, 14"H. Item #9815
