RCA 3-BX-671

RCA 3-BX-671 Tube Type AM/SW Multi-Band Radio. Overall appearance is very good. Leather covered wood cabinet is solid, fairly dirty but a test area cleaned up easily with a damp cloth. A few small roughed up spots on edges of the end bands and a small knick about .250" on the front. Green sticker in 1 spot. Handle is strong, shows little wear. Telescoping antenna extends fully with no binding and spring release button works. Front door is a little bowed and the leather covering is curled up along the edges. One of the latches is coming unscrewed. Map is very good. Metal Front panel is excellent, markings excellent. Dial markings are excellent. Back is very good. Original power cord is very good. Chassis has light dust, no rust. Radio appeared dead, only sound was a slight click when turning the band select knob. After turning to each band a couple times it appeared to be dead but when tuning to the broadcast band again it came to life. It tuned at least 8 stations, which is excellent for my poor AM reception area. Volume was very good. Tried another band, nothing. Back to broadcast band, nothing. 5 minutes or so of trying to find that magic spot again it came back to life. Hopefully it just needs the band switch cleaned. Sold as-is for parts or restoration. Requires a battery for portable operation (not included). Moderate mildew odor. Approximate size 17.5"W, 8"D, 11"H. Item #9974
