The items sold on this site have not been restored and have only been tested briefly, if at all. They are decades old and are sold with the expectation that the purchaser understands they will need some level of repair. Also, as explained in the "Grading" section, "Works" or "Working" does not mean they are ready to be plugged in and used. When we test these devices it is brief and under controlled monitored conditions. Be aware that many of these devices were designed with a hot chassis. For safety reasons, before the purchaser plugs the device into an electrical outlet it should be examined by a certified electronics technician who can explain proper precautions.
Vintage electronic devices, even with all components operating properly, may cause property damage, physical damage & death if not handled properly. If the chassis is exposed or the case is opened or removed it presents even more danger.
Vintage electronic devices are inherently dangerous products, even if used properly and in accordance with their intended purpose, and Buyer assumes all risks related to the use or misuse of all products purchased by Buyer on this site. Before Buyer uses or applies power to any product sold on this site, it is Buyers responsibility to have the device examined by a certified electronics technician and to abide by the national electrical code and any pertinent local, state or national codes, rules or regulations for the use of the product. In no event shall John Kendall’s Vintage Electronics be liable for any direct, indirect, punitive, incidental, special, consequential damages to property or life, whatsoever arising out of or connected with the use or misuse of any products sold on this site.
